Is this a license to use the same dealer license? If not, what is the difference?
I live in California and you want to open a home, small business that sells items at festivals and fairs, but mostly online (eBay). I want to do things, so there are no problems later, but not sure where to start. Do I collect sales taxes for online purchases? My partner thinks that they have no. If we decide to sell packaged food I need a special license for that? All the information already in the activity will be welcome! If you choose to add the packaged food later, will the issue of biological biscuits for babies (baby food jars, teething, formula, etc.) that are made by other companies like Gerber and others. A little Info: The theme will be organic, earth friendly or harder to find baby items: such as clothing, shoes, cloth diapers, cloth towels, blankets, toys, etc.
A site license and permit vendor (seller's permit) are different. Below is a view offered by the State of California information on small businesses. In general, if you sell tangible personal property in California, you need the sales tax on items shipped the CA. However, the sale of cold food not consumed on the premises of the seller are exempt from sales tax, all you that if you sell food, you will not need a seller's permit. You will need a permit for the other points. You are required to charge tax on items that you send to addresses AC. There is a link to the Board of Equalization, which is the body that issues licenses for the CA provider.

Are we heading for a Depression?
Is this just another example of how badly the country is doing, thanks to the republicans.
Home Depot to cut 7,000 jobs, close Expo chain
(30 minutes ago)
ATLANTA (AP) — Home Depot Inc. says it's cutting 7,000 jobs and closing its smaller Expo chain as the recession continues to batter the nation's housing market.
The nation's largest home improvement retailer says the cuts announced Monday morning will affect about 2 percent of its work force.
Under the plan, the Atlanta-based retailer will close its 34 Expo Design Centers, five YardBIRDS stores, two Design Center stores and a bath remodeling business that has seven locations. Those stores will close in the next two months.
Its core Home Depot stores won't be affected.
The company also plans to shed 2,000 non-store jobs and freeze the pay of its officers.
Home Depot will record a $532 million pretax charge in the fourth quarter related to the closures and layoffs.
Typo was made with the last question!
If the government doesn't quit giving money to companies that are going under at the same time they give out bonuses we will be in a depression. I.E. Merrill Lynch took 20 billion in bailout money and gave out 15 billion in bonuses. Why give someone a bonus who obviously wasn't doing their job?
