How to make money on the Internet
Home Based Business Food California

Is this a license to use the same dealer license? If not, what is the difference?
I live in California and you want to open a home, small business that sells items at festivals and fairs, but mostly online (eBay). I want to do things, so there are no problems later, but not sure where to start. Do I collect sales taxes for online purchases? My partner thinks that they have no. If we decide to sell packaged food I need a special license for that? All the information already in the activity will be welcome! If you choose to add the packaged food later, will the issue of biological biscuits for babies (baby food jars, teething, formula, etc.) that are made by other companies like Gerber and others. A little Info: The theme will be organic, earth friendly or harder to find baby items: such as clothing, shoes, cloth diapers, cloth towels, blankets, toys, etc.
A site license and permit vendor (seller's permit) are different. Below is a view offered by the State of California information on small businesses. In general, if you sell tangible personal property in California, you need the sales tax on items shipped the CA. However, the sale of cold food not consumed on the premises of the seller are exempt from sales tax, all you that if you sell food, you will not need a seller's permit. You will need a permit for the other points. You are required to charge tax on items that you send to addresses AC. There is a link to the Board of Equalization, which is the body that issues licenses for the CA provider.
