I first got the idea for make-money-the-internet.com back in 2005. Originally, we were an article based website under the umbrella of 1295.org. The idea was to be "article" based so we could get a lot of information on the site from a wide variety of sources. This worked out well at first. We had a database of thousands of articles. People would submit their articles directly to our site, or through an article submission service. It did not take us long to break into the top 100,000 websites on the Internet.

The trouble began in 2008 just after we started to attract a lot of traffic. The traffic became a double edged sword. It seems on the Internet when your site becomes popular it becomes a coveted target for hackers.

Our scripts were compromised again and again. Finally, we had to close the submissions altogether.

The search engines were not crazy about that. Traffic dropped of but so did the hacker attempts.

Finally, we decided to redeploy only this time it would be in a blog format. There are very few tags that people can include, so it has made it a bit more tricky for the bad guys.

Much of our traffic now comes from outside the English speaking world so if you come across a post where the English is very bad, please be patient and smile. You try learning any Asian language and see how well you do.

There is a great deal to be found on our site, I hope you'll stick around a bit and maybe even participate.
